short but sweet.

Wow, that was surprisingly addictive to watch!

For what it was, the animation was simple, yet nice and effective (I especially liked the sentinel). The sound was good, and the song was catchy without becoming irritating. I think it could have been a little bit better if the loop had been extended, but overall, not bad at all.

I'm looking forward to more quality submissions from you.

Shadow-XII responds:

Thank you! <3

The sentinal, for me, was a fucking cocksucker to animate :(

But it was worth it. :)

But, alas, I finally have my own baby on NG...it's my last too. No more, I tell you!

Numa Numa Numaye!

That was a great Flash submission -Dustball-, really good stuff.

The animation was great and was perfectly in style with the subject itself (I mean with the title and all, I just HAD to look). I loved the colour and design of the film itself; it worked really well with the animation of the movie. The characters themselves were very well done, and the animation for Gary matched the original Numa Numa perfectly.

As for the sound, it was as expected. Still, that song always gets a chuckle and some movement out of me, and even with all the submissions out concerning Numa Numa, I still like the song. The voice acting also needs mention, because this can often be a weak part of the Flash. I'm glad to say that your film was right on the money, with very good voice acting to boot.

Overall, that was a humorous and well made take off of the Numa Numa craze. Keep up the great work -Dustball-, you made a winner here.

Not too bad.

I saw your thread, so I decided to give your first submission a little review:

That wasn't too bad, nothing great but still decent. The animation itself was average, but worked pretty well with the style of the Flash. I thought the subject matter was fairly unoriginal, but it was still interesting enough to make the movie watchable. I don't know about that fat guy at the end, but it was pretty random, so... yeah.

The sound was ok, though maybe a little low on the quality side of things. I found the whistle loop fairly annoying, so a bit more variety here wouldn't have been too much to ask. The fx for the weapons worked pretty well, but it was maybe a litle too loud (try to fiddle with the volume settings in Flash).

Overall, it did keep me watching to the end, so that was good. I'll give you bonus marks for effort, because I can see what you were trying to achieve. Not bad, just work on your skills a litle more and you should be able to come out with some pretty good movies. Keep up the good work.

More Base!

Although this was an old add for the Blam Club, any kind of AYB parody is sure to get a smile out of me (and this was one of the better ones too).

The animation was pretty decent, especially the ship scenes, and the sound is what I would have expected from an AYB Flash. I think the style fit in well with the genre, and the clocks were a nice little touch.

Overall, I liked it.

Very nice.

That was a great Flash submission Granfaloon, and it kept with the whole Zelda theme really well. Being a fan of the Zelda series myself, I really appreciated this little film.

The animation was very well done, and I liked the whole anime style you were going for. Nice bright colours were in style with the series themes, and the movement was well executed. I liked the art itself, and it was great seeing all the characters which made up Zelda64.

The music and sound selection also tied in well with the overall theme of the subject matter, so top marks here too. I thought the voice acting was above average, if ever so slightly irritating at times (still a hell of a lot better than no voices!). Subtitles were a nice touch.

My only qualm was the slight over-use of slapstick humor throughout the film, but that is only a minor issue.

Overall, one of the better Flash works I have seen in a while. Keep up the good work Granfaloon, and I look forward to seeing more stuff from you in the future.

I liked it very much.

Well that was damn cool, forsterbar!

I remember just recently you showed me some of the stuff from the potential sequel, so make it already. We need more, dammit!

As for the Flash itself, the animation and subject matter were both quality. Also, the music fitted the piece really well. My only qualm was it's short length, but what can you do.

Overall, an extremely good submission. Keep up the good work.

forsterbar responds:

Why thank you -idle-. Praise from a man of such high esteem as yourself honours me greatly.
He gets a +2 on "to hit" rolls.

I never know what to put here.

That was a pretty decent Flash submission, Kurt. Although the animation was a little on the simple side, it was nicely put together. The sound quality was quite good, and the voice acting was surprisingly unoffensive. The plot was ok (though pretty generic), and the attempt at humor was alright.
As always, there is still plenty of room for improvement, but I think your on the right track.

I look forward to seeing more good work from you in the future.

Interesting...

I actually decided to check this Flash out, after your blatant self-promotion on the BBS, and I was pleasantly surprised. Although the animation wasn't that great, your ideas still came across reasonably well.

I thought the storyline itself was interesting, and despite what the others might be saying, I liked the black face. It adds some style to the piece, and is a hell of a lot better than a badly drawn human face. As I said before, your animation was fairly simplistic, but there is plenty of room for improvement, and your ideas are already pretty good.

All up, not a bad flash at all, ensoph. Keep up the good work.

That was unexpected!

Well, that film definitely surprised me, in a good way. Most of the submissions involving video are fairly average, but I liked this one quite a bit (even if it contained stick figures).

In terms of the actual execution of the film, I thought it was quite well done. Obviously, the filesize severely limits the quality of Flash, but all the visuals were still nice and visible in your work. The sync involving the fighting was pretty decent too, but my only complaint was with some of the sound. I thought this aspect of the film could have been better.

Overall though, an interesting submission here LeoZ. Well done.

LeoZ responds:

Thank you for the review! Not a spelling or grammatical error in sight. NG users take note; flash authors like it when you can spell ;) (I know I’m being a super hypocrite, by the way).

Argh, and you are SO RIGHT about the video filesizes. It's a bloody nightmare, stick V human 3 is currently too big.

FDA all the way!

That was a great Flash FDA. I especially liked the collaboration between all those artists - It added a nice style to the overall movie. As always, the sound was top-notch, and it all came together very well. I'm looking forward to seeing some more from the FDA collection (especially this new one you are working on).
